Meet teeny-tiny Penny! This itty-bitty little lady is a whopping 7 pounds, but she'll feel better once she puts on a pound or two. Estimated to be about two years old, Penny came into the shelter as a stray and was really struggling with stress in that environment, so we pulled her from the shelter to place her in a quiet, loving foster home, where she is really starting to blossom! Penny will need to be slow fed because she eats her food too fast and vomit it if not. Penny appears to be housebroken and crate-trained, and she gets along well with the other small dog in her foster home! She does not seem to like larger dogs though (20 pounds or more). She loves playing with toys and listens well to re-direction. Penny is a little gem of a dog who would love to find a home that's a little bit quiet to meet her where she is. A house without children would be ideal for this beauty, because - though she is as sweet as can be - we feel that loud noises and sudden movements might make her a bit nervous. She'll make an amazing lap dog for anyone looking for the loveliest little companion! Penny is already spayed, microchipped, heartworm and parasite free, and fully vaccinated - so she is all ready to find her forever family now!
