Zuri

Zuri is a 4 1/2 yr old mixed terrier breed. When he was found as a stray, he was severely underweight and starving. Once at Kansas Humane Society, he was diagnosed as diabetic. After being in foster care for several months, he is healthy, feeling good, and weighs about 20 pounds. Zuri is a very sweet boy and needs the perfect family to let him live his best life; which includes hugs, kisses, playing, running in the yard, snuggling, and is allowed - sleeping at the foot of his peoples' bed. He is crate trained, but prefers to not be! He is partially housebroken, but doesn't like to go out in the cold. His foster family loves fostering him because he is so sweet and loving and just loves to snuggles.
Because of Zuri's diabetes, he does have some special medical needs. He has to have insulin twice a day; once in the morning and once in the evening after his meals. Zuri will need to be in a home that can give him shots or are willing to learn to do so. He must have a balanced diet, and in the future, may have to go on a prescription food. He also needs daily exercise whether running and playing in the yard or long walks.
