Larry is an 11 pound Shih Tzu that will be 2 years old on May 26th. He and his littermate, Cooper, were relinquished by their owner that was moving and chose not to take these boys with them. Their coats were overgrown and very matted when they came to us so they had to he detangled and cut short. They are undeniably darling now, and will be off the charts adorable when their coats grows out. Larry (and his foster mom) would like to thank Lori Wangsgard at Cut-N-Strut for grooming him.
The boys had not been vaccinated when we took them in but they have since been fully vetted, neutered and we were thrilled to learn that both are heartworm negative.
Larry gets along great with other dogs his size, and is an overall sweet and loving little guy. He is crate trained and he has not had any accidents in the house. He is a little skittish when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly. He likes to perch on a rock in the backyard and watch for squirrels and passersby. He likes to play with his foster brother & sister and he likes to cuddle with his foster mom. He does not walk well on a leash so he is working on that, and he also is working on boundaries as he tends to get underfoot so is a bit of a tripping hazard. He needs an owner that will continue working with him. He tries very hard to be a good boy, and he will make one lucky family very happy.
