... believes that every dog deserves the best home that we can find for it. In this endeavor, we strive to match each dog with a family where it will be happy and healthy for the rest of its life. We continue to take applications for each dog until we are satisfied that we have found the best home for that dog. Our foremost goal is the welfare of our dogs, so please know that we reserve the right to refuse an adoption to anyone for any reason.
To qualify to adopt a dog from KS K-9 ResQ, you must:
Be at least 21 years of age
Have all your current pets spayed or neutered
Give all your current dogs vet recommended heart worm preventive
Have a security fenced yard (to be determined on a case by case basis)
Have all your current pets up to date on all vet recommended vaccinations
Live in the Wichita Kansas area
Our application process begins with contacting your veterinarian and your refrences followed by a home visit.
Your application will be reviewed by a committee of KS K-9 ResQ volunteers who will determine whether or not your are approved. You will be contacted of their decision.
Before you may adopt a dog from KS K-9 ResQ, you must agree that if you are ever unable to keep the adopted dog, it must be returned to a KS K-9 ResQ volunteer and you will be give a full refund of your adoption fee.
